Obituary

Donald Marker, 93, of Independence, MO passed away September 3, 2019. Don was born on June 12, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa to Carl and Margaret (Lamb) Marker. He served in the US Marine Corps from August 1944 to March 1947. On April 10, 1948 he married Marianna Johnston. She preceded him in death after 69 years of marriage. He retired from Otis Elevator with over 40 years of service. Graveside services will be 12:30 pm Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery, 34024 Veteran’s Memorial Dr. (off Van Meter, exit 113) Des Moines, Iowa.
