I've known Alicemary all of my life. The Bowens were our back-door neighbors in Ruskin Heights when I was born. The Bowen's 4 kids and the Allen's 4 kids all treated each others house as their own. So for the first 7 years of my life, Alicemary was like a second Mom for me especially, as her daughter Bunni was my best friend. (And still is after 65 years). I spent many hours at their house, enjoying the special kind of love that Alicemary could give. As my Mother (Dorothy Allen), and Alicemary were also close friends, we had many family get-togethers.. including a long stint in their basement room during one of the many tornado warnings. Over the years, as I moved farther and farther away from Missouri, I would still come back to visit a couple times a year.. and most of the trips included a get together with Bunni, and usually with both of our Moms. She will be missed!
